Wondering why this artwork doesn't have the option of double matting? That's because this piece has a "deckled edge".This phrase refers to the ragged edge found in traditional, handmade papers, due to the paper pulp being contained by fence known as a deckle. In this case, the edge has been applied as an aesthetic choice. By default, we will place the mat underneath the print rather than over top of it to exhibit these decorative edges. If you would prefer we go ahead and mat over the edges (hiding them), simply make a note in the comment box.
